This image was kindly provided by Erol Mehmet, who asked a friend who is currently working on renovations of the building above the Costa Coffee shop to take a picture while he was on the scaffolding. I love this photo, but as Erol says, the clock is in urgent need of TLC before we lose it altogether.

Hello PG13. This morning is the first time I have come across the web page and a very good local service the web page is. Well done! If I can get some details on who the building owner or who has head lease I will contact them and arrange a survey. I am sure we can come up with a proposal to refurbish the clock (if the scaffolding is still up that is probably half of the cost)

Maybe ask Costa Coffee to have it restored, would good p.r for the company.
